half-Lent Thursday
During the half-Lent Thursday the carnival resume for a day, in Ponte as in many other town of the upper-Lombardy: floats and masked people fill the streets until the evening, when they all meet in the central square for the reading of the will –laden with references to the town’s everyday life- of the "Crone", a puppet with the traits of an old woman, that is then burned: an ancient ritual that signal the death of Winter and of the year past.
